I just finished writing about the Adidas Extero and received email saying that, yes, Adidas will continue its most successful line of wrestling shoes and have the new Adidas Response 2007 shoe out on the market by the end of September. That‘s really good news since they already proved the good quality of those shoes and most wrestlers would go for them. I just hope they will make enough of them this time since last year all the popular colors ran out so quickly. Hopefully they did second re-manufacture, but on the crappy colors instead of the good ones which is really funny.

The new Adidas Response 2007 shoes will be almost like the previous year just different colors and a slight change in width of the shoe as they made it a bit thicker at the base. The good thing in that change is that they made it a bit softer and now if you accidentally kick someone it won‘t hurt that much (but still don‘t try this at home). Basically the new Adidas Response 2007 will feature the following:

• Engineered, asymmetrical mesh upper
• Welded 3 Stripes midfoot support
• Covered, integrated, asymmetrical lacing system with zipper construction
• QuickStrike‘ flow-molded polymer outsoles

As I‘ve recommended for the Adidas Extero model I do recommend that you get those shoes early as they are made in extremely small quantities (there are not that much wrestlers here in the US and big brands prefer not to make too much and then throw em in the garbage since other sports are quite more profitable, unfortunately for us). We expect those shoes to be on the market sometime this fall, most possibly late September when the wrestling season starts. I‘ll keep you up to date and I‘ll post the first merchant that offers them if you want to be ahead of the competition.

This year Adidas didn‘t surprise us very much with their new wrestling shoes Adidas Extero 2007 too much because they made them so similar to last year‘s most successful wrestling shoes - the Adidas Response 2006.

In the 2006-2007 Wrestling Season the Adidas Response Wrestling shoes were the biggest hit on the market and then quickly ran out of stock the same month they were released. All good wrestlers know that Adidas is the best wrestling shoe on the market and wearing such shoe will most definitely help you get the touchdown easier (well it still depends on your techniques but at least you can‘t say that you don‘t have the best wrestling shoes available).

Very strange for all of us Adidas this year released almost exact duplicate of the Adidas Response Wrestling Shoes and called them Adidas Extero 2007. The only big difference from the Response shoes is that the new Extero will be with 3 straps instead of laces which is somehow a good thing, but still professional wrestlers prefer to have the laces instead because this lower chances your shoe to slip off your feet while wrestling if not properly tight up....+|+

As you see the difference is not that big on the overall design only the color and the decoration which I is not really important (yes if you‘re looking to be the coolest guy on the mat that might be important for you, but for a good wrestler it is more important their shoes to fit very well and help them score some points because the winner is the coolest guy on the mat). The new Adidas Extero will feature the following:

• Three strap speed closure system for fast entry and easy exit.
• Ultra lightweight upper made of open breathable mesh and leather.
• European constructed outsole
• Large medial Drive Zone area.

My prediction is that those shoes are going to vanish as quickly as the old Response shoes did and my best advice to you guys is to buy them as earliest possible otherwise you might end up in the waiting list or even not find any on the market because they are already sold out.

The Adidas Extero wrestling shoes are expected on the market around late September, but do feel free to check here for updates because we might be able to find them earlier, but I don‘t guarantee on that one.
